Industry Involvement in Education
We believe industry leaders hold the keys to preparing students for job/career success. Industry involvement is vital in ascertaining that students are equipped to enter the workforce. Because of this, we urge employers to not only review and rate the knowledge standards students are learning in the classroom but to sit in on the committees that create them. In doing so, the content students are taught is relevant to what skills and knowledge employers are looking for in qualified employees.
Career & Technical Education
With Career and Technical Education (CTE), students have the invaluable opportunity to start experimenting with and preparing for career pathways. From accounting to welding, the goal of CTE is to provide students with the fundamental qualifications that will prepare them for lifelong job success.

Student Certification Exams
Students can start preparing for these and other careers as early as junior high. Using student certification exams, like those offered through Precision Exams by YouScience, students can earn stackable credentials.
Stackable credentials are “part of a sequence of credentials accumulated over time to build up an individual’s qualification to help them move along a career pathway or up a career ladder to potentially different and higher paying jobs,” as defined by the Department of Labor.
Imagine a student who comes out of high school with multiple certifications and stackable credentials that have been endorsed by local businesses. Student certifications that are stepping stones to jobs and job experience. Student certifications that prove the knowledge and skills with which students are qualified.
Involving industry leaders in education has the potential to change the way educators teach, students succeed, and businesses grow. With knowledge standards created by employers, teachers can build a curriculum that revolves around industry needs. Students earn certificates that are recognized by local employers. And local employers fill job requirements with qualified employees.
